Decameron Tarot

Overview

The Decameron is a collection of classic Italian tales by Boccacio. Unfortunately, they are classed as being, for their time, very bawdy - i.e. full of lots of naughty people having lots of indiscriminate sexual activities with lots of other indiscriminate folks they encounter on their journeys, as narrated by some less than scrupulous adolescent students stuck in a rain storm.  The Tarot deck of the same name reflects these tales in VERY graphic format, so, while I absolutely love this deck, I cannot find one card that does not have some graphic representation of sex acts, genitalia, and general naughty behaviour! As such, in today’s current anti-hedonistic attitudes, I cannot show any of the cards, as even the backs of the cards depict naked humans! Alas - such a tragedy.

P.S. There will be other “erotic” decks that we will come across - hopefully with some cards I can show without fear of disturbing those of weak minds and weaker sensibilities! ;)
